D’ Barrack Yard
On August 5, during Sunday Social at the Bentway Beer Garden, celebrate the traditions of Trinidadian carnival with D’Barrack Yard. D’Barrack Yard takes inspiration from Trinidadian history and carnival celebrations. The barrack yard was traditionally a space that emancipated Trinidadians gathered after leaving the plantation, it was here that the steelpan drum was born, and that revelers congregated on the evening before of J’ouvert morning, the opening of the carnival. On August 5, join Moses Revolution, Connector, and New Dimension Steel Orchestra for The Bentway’s D’Barrack Yard. Learn more.
