Tai Chi with Eti Greenberg – July 11

A twice weekly recreational Tai Chi class
Tai Chi at The Bentway occurs every Monday (5:30pm) and Thursday (11:00am) from June 13-August 29
Not only is Tai Chi fun and relaxing (and easy to get into) but it can be effective therapy for a wide range of health problems (back pain, arthritis, poor circulation etc.). It can improve balance and energy level. Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese exercise for health. It consists of slow and graceful movements that relax and strengthen both body and mind. It is an art form based on the philosophy of returning to a natural state of health and well being.
Eti’s practice has an extra degree of stretching and turning in each movement, placing the emphasis on health improvement. With diligent practice, this type of movement produces a profound effect on all systems of the body by reducing tension, improving circulation, and increasing strength and flexibility.
Each class lasts about 1 hour starting with fifteen to twenty minutes of warm up exercise including meridian stretches.
*Please wear comfortable loose-fitting clothes and soft shoes. Bring a yoga mat for stretches on the ground.
About Eti Greenberg
Eti was born and grew up in Haifa, Israel. After time in Manhattan, Gaillard, Switzerland, and Jerusalem, she moved to Toronto with her family. She has had a varied professional career, including photographic retouching, cinema management, Shiatsu and Acupuncture therapy, and 3 years working in the office of City Councillor Adam Vaughan where she developed several special projects. Eti now focuses on her Tai Chi practice and is currently an instructor at several places around the City including the JCC and Harbourfront Centre.
In her spare time she enjoys exploring the city with husband and watching as neighbourhoods change over the years. They love to walk, ride their tandem bike, and kayak to discover new things in the city and the harbor.
