The Bentway Skate Trail 2021/2022

Take to the ice on The Bentway Skate Trail’s 220-metre figure-eight loop! This Winter, The Bentway is offering skate rentals, skate sharpening, and special events including a winter art exhibition by Inuvialuk artist Maureen Gruben.
Hours of operation:
Weekdays | 5:00-9:00pm
Weekends, Holidays, and TDSB PA Days | 12:00-9:00pm
- Pre-registration is not required.
- Masks are required.
- Capacity is limited to help ensure a safe skating experience (guests may experience a brief wait time).
- Unfortunately, no lockers are available this year. Please pack light and keep your belongings with you!
- Hot beverages are available for purchase Thursday-Sunday from 5:00-9:00pm and on holidays and PA Days.
- On Thursday evenings from 5:00-8:00pm, free skate rentals will be available courtesy of Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and free hot chocolate courtesy of the CityPlace Fort York BIA.
- On Wednesday evenings from 5:00-8:00pm, PRESTO cardholders are eligible for two-for-one skate rentals between January 5 – February 9, 2022 through the PRESTO Perks program.
- Due to recent changes in COVID-19 measures, all skate lessons at The Bentway have been cancelled to protect the healthy and safety of visitors and staff.
Skate Rentals and Sharpening:
Skates and helmets are available to rent during operating hours (sizing available on a first-come, first-served basis). Skate sharpening is available every Wednesday from 5-9pm.

- Last skates out at 8pm, due back at 8:50pm
- All sizes indicated are Bauer hockey skate sizes.
- Rentals are for a maximum of 2 hours.
- Valid ID required.
- Only stock hockey skates.
- Sizes range from Youth 6 to Adult 12, availability can not be guaranteed.
- Skate rentals are can be paid for using Debit/credit, no cash.
- Skates and helmets are sanitized after each use.
Please note: Depending on weather, The Bentway Skate Trail may need to close for maintenance or clean up. We work as quickly as possible to re-open the ice, and ask that you please check our website or social media (@thebentway) for updates.
