Vertical Intersections w/ IDITA
September 10 @ 8:00 am - October 31 @ 5:00 pmFree
Vertical Intersections is a series of vertical gardens installed surrounding the columns of the Gardiner at The Bentway. It is meant to get local condo dwellers out of their individual apartments into public space to grow plants, share stories, and create community.
The installation aims to encourage opportunities for interaction and new friendships; bring awareness to local ecosystems and the importance of their protection and integration in urban landscapes; educate the community to reclaim and create more green urban spaces.
Vertical Intersections aims to be a social “meta-project” that can be replicated in other neighborhoods and cities, using different spaces: back alleys, disused spaces, neglected parks, etc to re-purpose, beautify, bring sense of belonging, and strengthen community ties!
*Vertical Intersections is part of The Bentway’s 2019 Community Incubation Program
